About Us

Simon J Hargreaves Associates was established in 2001, providing architectural design solutions and surveying services to clients across residential, commercial and industrial sectors.

We undertake projects across Cumbria, North Lancashire and the South Lakes areas, and also the Lake District and Yorkshire Dales National Parks, working on both modern and traditional building types.

With a background in both mechanical engineering and building surveying, and over 25 years experience working within the construction industry we adopt a practical approach to developing constructive solutions for a wide range of projects, ranging from small domestic extensions, to industrial units, and housing developments.

Having self built new dwellings on two separate occasions, we specialise in extension and alteration projects to domestic properties, developing effective design solutions to meet your project objectives.
